The Gods and Magic In Pharaonic Egypt In louver museum, Paris *** Paris as i saw with my eyes (6)

In ancient Egypt religion, egyptian gods and goddesses initially represented aspects of the natural world and were worshipped at a local level. Egyptians had numerous myths relating to their ancient Egypt religion.

The Gods In Pharaonic Egypt
The gods could be born, age, and die like people. They had bodies,
names, and emotions ,yet they were exceptional beings. Their bodies were composed of precious substances and had the ability to transform themselves. Some gods had a human form and can be identified by their attributes. Others were in the form of animals ,or were half-human and half-animal.

From the louver
Some animals were shared by several deities (falcon, vulture, lioness), while others such as the ibis (Thoth) and the dung beetle (Khepri), were identified with a single god.
A god could be specific to a particular place or venerated throughout the land. The temple was the main place of contact between the world of humans and the world of gods. Ritual worship of deities help to ensure the smooth functioning of universe.

The Magic In Pharaonic Egypt
Thanks to magic, it was possible to borrow the power of gods.
Magic was one of the ways of controlling an imaginary world inhibited by the gods, and by forces that were a danger to to the country, the king, and the people, as well as to the gods, and the dead. Everyone from the peasant to the pharaoh use magic, either during temple rituals or in everyday life to ward off danger or sickness.
It entailed performing specific actions, making or using particular objects, while reciting or writing down certain words. These spells often invoked the gods, citing the most powerful aspects of their personalities, such as their names or their manifestations.
