How to make Silhouette for your picture with Photoshop?

During my visit to Paris and while touring with my husband and friends next to the house of Dalida and behind the famous Church of the Sacred Heart(Eglise du Sacré-Coeur), I saw the area where artists of Silhouette are congregate,They were calling us "come, only two minutes" I really like them and how fast they are doing their job.

About
silhouette :
A silhouette is the image of a person, an object or scene represented as a solid shape of a single color, usually black, its edges matching the outline of the subject. The interior of a silhouette is basically featureless, and the whole is typically presented on a light background, usually white, or none at all. The silhouette differs from an outline which depicts the edge of an object in a linear form, while a silhouette appears as a solid shape. Silhouette images may be created in any visual artistic media.

How to convert your photo to silhouette by Photoshop?

my photo ( Silhouette )

  • Open the picture in Photoshop.
  • Select the object with the pen tool, then right click and select selection.
  • Edit menu > Copy to copy the selection.
  • Start new project and name it, then chose the color you like for the background (I prefer white).
  • Edit menu > Paste to paste the selection.
  • Image menu > Adjustments > Hue / Saturation. Put the Lightness to - 100, and click OK.
  • The image in now ready for use .
  • Save your work.
You can use it with any background to give your photos different look and effects.

Khufu ship, The Sun Ship (or Solar Boat) with video

The Khufu ship is an intact full-size vessel from Ancient Egypt that was sealed into a pit in the Giza pyramid complex at the foot of the Great Pyramid of Giza around 2500 BC. It is identified as the world’s oldest and largest intact ship,

The ship was almost certainly built for Khufu (King Cheops), the second pharaoh of the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom of Egypt. Like other buried Ancient Egyptian ships, it was apparently part of the extensive grave goods intended for use in the afterlife, and contained no bodies, unlike northern European ship burials.

It’s called The Sun Ship (or Solar Boat) and this point to the gods of the sun which was worshiped by the ancient Egyptians along many reigns of the ancient civilization.

The topic about the Book of the Dead is very long one, so I had chosen the most important points to clarify the ideas that was written in it .

SELECTION WITH COLOR RANGE[selection part 5]

The Color Range command selects a specified color or color range within an existing selection or an entire image. If you want to replace a selection, be sure to deselect everything before applying this command.

To refine an existing selection, use the Color Range command repeatedly to select a subset of colors. example, to select the green areas in a cyan selection, select Cyans in the Color Range dialog box, and click OK. Then reopen the Color Range dialog box, and select Greens. (The results are subtle because this technique selects parts of colors within a color mix.)

SELECTION WITH THE MAGIC WAND TOOL[ selection part 4 ]

The Magic Wand tool lets you select a consistently colored area (for example, a red flower) without having to trace its outline. You specify the color range, or tolerance, for the Magic Wand tool’s selection, based on similarity to the pixel you click.

Sultana (Queen) Shajar al-Durr First Sultana on Islam in Egypt [ Part two]

That is the second part of our story of the great Sultana Shajar al-Durr .

Her Conflict with Turanshah:-
Once the Seventh Crusade was defeated and Louis IX was captured, troubles between Turanshah on one side and Shajar al-Durr and the Mamluks on the other began. Turanshah, knowing he would not have full sovereignty while Shajar al-Durr, the Mamluks and the old guards of his late father were there, detained a few officials and started to replace old officials, including the vice Sultan, with his followers then he sent a message to Shajar al-Durr while she was in Jerusalem warning her and requesting her to hand him the wealth and jewels of his late father. The request and manners of Turansha distressed Shajar al-Durr. Complaining to the Mamluks about Turanshah's threats and ungratefulness, the Mamluks and in particular their leader Faris ad-Din Aktai were enraged. In addition, Turanshah used to drink alcohol and when drunk he abused the bondmaids of his father and threatened the Mamluks. Turanshah was assassinated by the Mamluks at Fariskur on May 2, 1250. He was the last of the Ayyubids Sultans.

Black Pyramid of Amenemhat III At Dashur

Black Pyramid of Egypt

King Amenemhat III built the Black pyramid during the Middle Kingdom of Egypt (2055-1650 BC). It is one of the five remaining pyramids of the original eleven pyramids at Dahshur ( Dahshur is a royal necropolis located in the desert on the west bank of the Nile approximately 40 kilometres south of Cairo. It is known chiefly for several pyramids, two of which are among the oldest, largest and best preserved in Egypt, which are Bent Pyramid and Red Pyramid built from 2613-2589 BCE. ) in Egypt.
It was named the Black pyramid for its dark, decaying appearance as a rubble mound. The Black Pyramid is not as well known as the Bent or Red Pyramids at Dashur, as it has been closed to tourists due to its collapsed condition.

The Black pyramid was the first to house both the deceased pharaoh and his queens.
