Filters In Photoshop, and How To Change The Look of Your Photos with Video.

You can use filters to clean up or retouch your photos, apply special art effects that give your image the appearance of a sketch or impressionistic painting, or create unique transformations using distortions and lighting effects.

How to use a filter?

• The filters appear in the Filter menu.
• Smart Filters, applied to Smart Objects, let you use filters non-destructively.
• Choose a filter from the submenus in the Filter menu.
• If a dialog box or the Filter Gallery appears, enter values or select options, and then click OK.
• If no dialog box appears, the filter effect is applied .
• Filters are applied to the active, visible layer or a selection.Filters can be applied also to a Smart Object.
• Some filters work only on RGB images.

Notice that

Applying filters to large images can be time consuming, but you can preview the effect in the filter dialog box.

Drag in the preview window to center a specific area of the image. In some filters, you can click in the image to center it where you click. Click the + or – button under the preview window to zoom in or out.

1. Open the picture in Photoshop .
2. Open the filter menu , and select convert for smart filters so the photo will not be harmfully affected .
3. Open the filter menu and select , Artistic then select Fresco.The filter will be applied.
4. To add color for the photo ,add new layer and do the folowing.

• From the layers panel put the blending mode of the layer to color . 
• Apply Gradient to the new layer ( select the colors you like  ).
