Fire, and How To Design Fire Animation with Photoshop?

Have you ever seen fire, I hope no. That is a very bad view, it will result in a very bad feeling for you.

Here I wanted to explain the animation of photoshop on a clear photo .

What is fire ?
Fire is the rapid oxidation of a material in the chemical process of combustion, releasing heat, light, and various reaction products like carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide [which is toxic]gases.

The flame is the visible portion of the fire and consists of glowing hot gases.Depending on the substances alight, and any impurities outside, the color of the flame and the fire's intensity might vary.

Fire in its most common form can result in conflagration, which has the potential to cause physical damage through burning.

Fire is an important process that affects ecological systems across the globe. The positive effects of fire include stimulating growth and maintaining various ecological systems.

Fire has been used by humans for cooking, generating heat, signaling, and propulsion purposes.

The negative effects of fire include decreased water purity, increased soil erosion, an increase in atmospheric pollutants and an increased hazard to human life.

Fire Triangle
A fire requires three elements: heat, fuel, and an oxidizing agent (usually oxygen).

The fire is prevented or extinguished by removing any one of them. A fire naturally occurs when the elements are combined in the right mixture.

 Fire Extinguishing
Fire can be extinguished by removing any one of the elements of the fire Triangle.
  • Turning off the gas supply.
  • covering the flame completely.
  • Application of water, which removes heat from the fire faster than the fire can produce it .
  •  Application of a retardant chemical such as Halon to the flame, which retards the chemical reaction itself until the rate of combustion is too slow to maintain the chain reaction.

Changing color of an object

Some times we are not happy with some colors of an item in a photo and you do not know how .With photoshop it is easy  . There are different methods to do that .  first of all Open the document you want to change the color in it . Remember to make a back up of the original.
  • first method with the use of the Layer Adjustments .Open the Hue and Saturation [Image-Adjustments -Hue/Saturation it will open the dialog box of it from the drop down menu select the name of the color you want to change then select the eye dropper to select the color you want to change .Drag the sliders until you reach the color you like.

I had changed the color of the red flower to blue with that method

  • Second one select the color you want to change with the Quick Selection Tool .and with the refine button in the option bar of the Selection Tool and adjust the options .With the Backspace key in the keyboard delete it .Go to the Edit Menu then fill and select from the drop down menu from where you will fill[foreground , background, color]also select pattern or history and the blending mode [explained in the tips ]

  • Third method almost a combination of the two ways . That is the best method in-spite of it is complicated. Select the area of color that you wish to change with selection tools. Click on the quick mask button, this is the right button located just below the colors. Now you will see  selected area in normal colors, and the rest (unselected area) in transparent red. This is quick mask mode. Make sure your colors are set to black and white, select the "paint brush" tool and set the brush size to 13 hard edge.
Notice that if you "paint" over your image with Black, it will  Add to the selection, and if you paint in White, it will Delete  from the selection.
Now check your selection and find spots that you missed or are not accurate and paint accordingly.Change your brush size according to the area you want to paint .Once you finish click on the NORMAL mode button [the same button again].
Now you create an accurate selection  .Go and add adjustment layer for Hue and Saturation.Adjust the sliders to get the desired colors.

I HOPE IT WAS USEFUL

Queen Cleopatra VII

Cleopatra VII Philopator was an ancient Greek queen and the last pharaoh of Ancient Egypt.
She was a member of the Ptolemaic dynasty, a Greek royal family which ruled Egypt after Alexander the Great 's death during the Hellenistic period. The Ptolemies, throughout their dynasty, spoke Greek and refused to learn Egyptian, which is the reason that Greek as well as Egyptian languages were used on official court documents like the Rosetta Stone. By contrast, Cleopatra did learn Egyptian and represented herself as the reincarnation of an Egyptian goddess Isis.

THE ORIGINAL PICTURE OF HERE STATUE IN BERLIN MUSEUM
Cleopatra originally ruled jointly with her father Ptolemy XII [12th]and later with her brothers, Ptolemy XIII[13th] and Ptolemy XIV[14th] she had married as per Egyptian custom, but eventually she became sole ruler. As pharaoh, she  contacted Julius Caesar that solidified her grip on the throne. She later elevated her son with Caesar, Caesarion, to co-ruler in name.
After Caesar's assassination in 44 BC, she aligned with Mark Antony in opposition to Caesar's legal heir, Gaius Julius Caesar Octavianus (later known as Augustus).

Pharaoh Amenhotep III. and Colossi of Memnon.Add Your Touch To Your Photos

The original photo
Amenhotep III or Amenophis III meaning Amun is Satisfied.
He was the ninth pharaoh of the Eighteenth dynasty. He ruled Egypt from 1386 to 1349 BC or 1388 BC to 1351 BC,after his father Thutmose IV died.
His reign was a period of unprecedented prosperity and artistic splendour.
During his period Egypt reached the peak of her artistic and international power.
When he died, his son initially ruled as Amenhotep IV, but later changed his own royal name to Akhenaten.

His Family
Amenhotep III was the father of two sons with his Great Royal Wife Tiye ,Crown Prince Thutmose, who died before his father, and her second son, Akhenaten, who followed him to the throne,Amenhotep III also may have been the father of a third child—called Smenkhkare, who later would succeed Akhenaten. Amenhotep III and Tiye may also have had four daughters: Sitamun, Henuttaneb, Isis or Iset, and Nebetah.

Amenhotep III is known to have married several foreign women:

  • Gilukhepa, the daughter of Shuttarna II of Mitanni [ Mitanni was a loosely organized Hurrian-speaking state in northern Syria and south-east Anatolia].
  • Tadukhepa, the daughter of his ally Tushratta of Mitanni .
  • A daughter of Kurigalzu, king of Babylon[ was an ancient city-state the remains of which are found in Iraq, about 85 kilometers (55 mi) south of Baghdad.].
  • A daughter of Kadashman-Enlil, king of Babylon .
  • A daughter of Tarhundaradu, ruler of Arzawa [ in Western Anatolia].

His life
Amenhotep III characterized by having the most surviving statues of any Egyptian pharaoh. Another  characteristic of Amenhotep III 's reign is the series of over 200 large commemorative stone scarabs that have been discovered over a large geographic area ranging from Syria to Nubia, their long inscribed texts extol the accomplishments of the pharaoh. 123 of these commemorative scarabs record the large number of lions (either 102 or 110 ) that Amenhotep III killed "with his own arrows" from his first regnal year up to his tenth year, five other scarabs state that the foreign princess who would become a wife to him, Gilukhepa[ Gilukhepa, the daughter of Shuttarna II of Mitanni ], arrived in Egypt with a retinue of 317 women. She was the first of many such princesses who would enter the pharaoh's household.
Another eleven scarabs record the excavation of an artificial lake he had built for his royal wife, Queen Tiye, in his eleventh regnal year.
Amenhotep appears to have been crowned while still a child, perhaps between the ages of 6 and 12.He married Tiye two years later and she lived twelve years after his death.

His Final years
In his final years he suffered from arthritis and became obese .
It has generally been assumed that Amenhotep requested and received from his father-in-law Tushratta of Mitanni, a statue of Ishtar of Nineveh [a healing goddess ]in order to cure him of his various ailments which included painful abscesses in his teeth .

His Death
An examination of his mummy concluded that the pharaoh was aged between forty and fifty years old at death.Amenhotep III was buried in the Western Valley of the Valley of the Kings.

His Monuments
  • Amenhotep III built extensively at the temple of Karnak including the Luxor temple.
  • Colossal red granite statue of Amenhotep III.The statue is thought to have been erected by King Amenhotep III, one of the huge number of statues that he set up to himself in Thebes. [ The statue in the picture up].
  • Colossal quartzite statue of Amenhotep III.
  • The two Colossi of Memnon , which still stand at his mortuary temple at Kom el-Hitan. are two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. For the past 3400 years (since 1350 BC) they have stood in the Theban necropolis, across the River Nile from the modern city of Luxor.
Colossi of Memnon  WILL BE MY COMING POST .

I collected that information from some resources .

For our picture, again you can see the picture very pale.I had manipulated the photo of the Colossal red granite statue of Amenhotep III, to show its color . I added also animation for the name it will be more clear if you open the picture in a new page. Let's start.

Photo Adjustment in Photoshop { Invert } with video

The ability to Invert images color is a useful feature of most versions of  Photoshop. It is better to save an extra copy of the inverted  image.
By reversing or inverting the colors of a picture, photograph or image, the colors are made complementary of the original value. After performing picture color inversion, black becomes white, yellow becomes blue, red becomes aqua.

What to do if you got an inverted image color [the negative form] the one on the film after treating the film .It is very easy, only one step .
I had that old image inverted colors so I wanted to know for whom was that picture.
I fixed it with photoshop

The inverted color picture

That is the picture after adjusting

for watching the video please click here { THE VIDEO }
Have you ever had a picture that was nice, but you wanted to give it something to make it different?
You can also change the look of your normal photos or background images like this coming background image to invert the colors in an image to create interesting photo effects.

Children are the same everywhere. How to fix the hair of your baby in the picture with photoshop

Children Everywhere are almost the same."A child is any human being below the age of eighteen years .

The child must have
  • Freedom of speech
  • Freedom of thought
  • Freedom from fear
  • Freedom of choice and the right to make decisions

You know, they likes to play all the time, and you can not stop that ,and I like to much that kind of pictures that record all the nice memories of young kids.
I got a picture for my granddaughters really the picture was very bad in everything I  do not like its hue and color cast .
The girl was playing and her hair was coming up and the light was not enough ,and I think the resolution of the camera was law [ mobile camera]. I  thought that what I was looking for to adjust.

That is the original picture that I do not like .

I liked her innocent face and calm smile .

That is the fixed picture.

The look of the picture differs very much.
I removed the color cast and I gave it different look with the frame .I wanted the frame to be simple like her.
I chose the colors to match her closes and to give the happy feel of childhood.

 How to fix that picture?
  1. The first step to fix the hair ,go for filter menu and choose Liquify then select the  Forward Warp Tool and adjust it as shown in the diagram and push gently inside to control the hair .You can also use the pucker tool  .It works like suction sucking the pixels inside .Be careful don't distort the pixels of the picture around the area you like to fix.
  2. The second step is to adjust the color .Open the Adjustment Panel and do the following.

  • Apply the levels adjustment layer , to remove the color cast.
  • Apply the Brightness and Contrast .
     3.  Add frame to the picture if you like.
     4. Save your work.

Queen Meritites The First, and her pyramid, with Photoshop lesson.

Meritites I, or Meryetyotes was an ancient Egyptian Queen of the 4th dynasty.

She was a daughter of King Sneferu and the wife of King Khufu [her half brother].
Her name means "Beloved of her Father". Mariette recorded a stela at Giza in which Meritites is said to be a favorite of both Sneferu and Khufu.
Meritites was buried in the middle Queen's Pyramid in Giza.

The original picture of the pyramid of the queen.

I found it pale, dull, and not clear and very simple. The sky and sand was very pale, the stones is not clear. All the picture was small.

That is the new look of the picture

I do not like the look of the picture so I added some adjustments to it explained below.

*I had increased its size.

*I added some adjustments to the sky and sand to make it more bright and to the stones of the pyramid to make more it clear.

*I added also suitable frame and canvas to give more depth and write notes on the picture .

You can read more below

Her Pyramid

Her pyramid is thought to be her tomb. The queen's pyramids were often constructed to the south of the king's pyramid . The scientists thought that construction of her pyramid was in year 15 of the reign of Khufu, It had a small mortuary temple and a boat pit associated with it,but no boat was found in the rock cut boat pit .The mortuary temple was decorated with scenes.
The title of Queen was preserved in a fragment now in the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.

Animating Name ( Animation in Photoshop)

Welcome to my blog.
Today I wanted to show you another face of photoshop that is the simple animation.

Animation in Photoshop

What is Animation?
An animation is a sequence of images, or frames, that is displayed over time. Each frame varies slightly from the preceding frame, creating the illusion of movement or other changes when the frames are viewed in quick succession.

Diagram

You can open the Animation panel from the Window Menu .It appears in frame mode, showing a thumbnail of each frame in your animation. Use the tools at the bottom of the panel to navigate through the frames, set looping options, add and delete frames, and preview the animation.
The Animation panel menu contains additional commands for editing frames or timeline durations, and for configuring the panel display. Click the panel menu icon to view available commands.

I will explain it in my tips after I finish the basics .

Tarut Island and Tarut Castle in Saudi Arabia, and how to color the black and white photos with Photoshop.

Location
It is the second longest island in the Arabian Gulf after Qeshm Island, which is the biggest island in the Gulf, in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.
It extends from Ras Tanura in the north to Qatif in the west. The island includes many smaller towns and villages such as Tarut town.

Tarut Castle in Saudi Arabia before Photoshop manipulation

Climate
The Island's climate is unlike other Saudi Arabian cities, Tarut retains its warm temperature throughout winter, during which it gets around 0c (32F) at midnight to +25c (77F) in the afternoon.Since the island is near the Arabian coast, the humidity is very high; sometimes reaching 96% humidity. Rainfall on the island is rare, but when it does rain, it is usually in December and January.

History

Tarut Castle in Saudi Arabia after Photoshop manipulation

If you would like to look at the deep past of Eastern Saudi Arabia, your mind will go to a small island in the Persian Gulf.

Present time has forgotten it and its treasures and it needs to be dusted off. When you are walking in its old villages, you will see adjoining houses that are built from mud and stone with narrow alleyways, too.
Their presence is in the distant past. When looking at the houses, you draw memories from generation after generation that have long passed. This island is Tarut. Tarut or Tarout means goodness and beauty in the Semitic languages. Additionally, the town’s name is recorded as "TARU" in historical Chinese texts and "Ashtarut" in Arabic history. Today, however, most of the new researchers argue that the correct name is "Ashtarut" because the Canaanites and Phoenicians, who originally lived there, idolized the beauty of the town and called it Ashtarut. The term Ashtarut is also very similar to the new name Tarut , if we delete the first syllable.

Tarut Castle
It is the most famous castle in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia and the oldest castle in the Persian Gulf. It was built by the Portuguese in the 16th century, It is located in the center of Tarut Island .On the towers of the castle, the viewer can see most of the island.

Donkeys Bath
Donkeys Bath was located in Aldeerah Town at the end of the Ein Al-aoudeh channel. Tourists would wash their donkeys since donkeys were the main transportation on Tarut Island before cars. It was destroyed in 1996 and there are no remains.

Mohammed Abdelwahab Castle in Dareen
Sheikh Mohammed Abdelwahab, who is one of the famous pearl traders in the Persian Gulf built a castle in 1885. The castle was a place for meeting, hospitality, and trading. Today, ruins are the only evidence of the castle’s former existence.

I hoped the story liked you I tried to collect it from many resources.
I found the original picture was black and white ,so I added some colors to it ,and that is how to add the colors to the photo  .

The Swans ( Changing the Photo with Photoshop Filters)

In the last post I mentioned that we can give our pictures different looks with the use of filters.
Here are some different looks for the same picture of the swans .

 The original picture of swans.

You can see the different looks with the different filters in Photo-shop .

Simple way to apply filters ?
  1. Open the picture in photoshop.
  2. Go to Filter menu and choose convert to smart filter so all the adjustments you will apply will not be destructive to the image.[Smart Filters, applied to Smart Objects, let you use filters non-destructively. Smart Filters are stored as layer effects in the Layers panel and can be readjusted at any time]
  3. After that try the filters you like and apply to your image.
  4. Save your work.
Here are the different looks for the same photo .

In the third raw I used the Render Filter then Lens Flair and I just change the site of the lens on the dialog box .

Guidelines for Using filters
  • Choose the sub-menu from the Filter menu.
  • Filters are applied to the active, visible layer or a selection .
  • If no dialog box appears, the filter effect is applied.
  • If a dialog box or the Filter Gallery appears, enter values or select options, and then click OK.
  • Not all filters can be applied to all images .[It depends upon how many bit].

You can find some more in Art Work

Adjusting Photo With Photoshop Filters

You can use filters to clean up or retouch your photos, apply special art effects that give your image the appearance you like.

You can give your photos also different look like sketch or distortions and lighting effects.

Using a smart Filters let you use filters non-destructively the same as smart objects.

Smart Filters are stored as layer effects in the Layers panel and can be readjusted at any time.

The original photo of my grandson

In the original picture you can see how the hair of the boy was standing, it appears that someone took the picture while he was playing to have fun, so I liked to adjust it to show you some effects of the filters.

after the filter application

I used here two types of filters here to fix the hair and to make the boy little bit prominent ,against faded background.

Let's go and see how to fix it .

Fixing Photos with Retouching Tools by Photoshop

The retouch let you change your images to accomplish a variety of tasks.
  • To improve a composition.
  • To correct distortions or flaws.
  • To manipulate picture elements .
  • To add or remove items, sharpen or blur, or merge multiple images into a panorama.

The original photo

How nice.

after photoshop manipulation

Please visit the Photoshop Learning tab to read more about it.

To fix a photo like that one up you need many tools called the retouching tools, to remove the scars and dark dots to make it clear like the picture on the right.
I used the Spot Healing Brush Tool, and The Healing Brush Tool.

  • The Spot Healing Brush Tool
Its use is very easy. In the options panel, choose Proximity Match, and check Sample All layers, and adjust the brush size.
You will not do anything more. Just click on the area you want to treat.

  • The Healing Brush Tool.
It is more complicated you need to sample the area you like then add it to the defected area.
  1. In the Option bar, adjust Source to sampled and choose from Sample what layers you like.
  2. Adjust the Brush size to the size of the good area you want to sample, or little smaller.
  3. To sample the area you like just click the area you like while pressing the tab key.
  4. Go to the defected area and click it.

They are easy to manipulate and use, try it now.
