Queen Meritites The First, and her pyramid, with Photoshop lesson.

  Meritites I, or Meryetyotes was an ancient Egyptian Queen of the 4th dynasty.

She was a daughter of King Sneferu and the wife of King Khufu [her half brother].
Her name means "Beloved of her Father". Mariette recorded a stela at Giza in which Meritites is said to be a favorite of both Sneferu and Khufu.
Meritites was buried in the middle Queen's Pyramid in Giza.

I found it pale, dull, and not clear and very simple. The sky and sand was very pale, the stones is not clear. All the picture was small.
         

That is the new look of the picture

I do not like the look of the picture so I added some adjustments to it explained below.

*I had increased its size.

*I added some adjustments to the sky and sand to make it more bright and to the stones of the pyramid to make more it clear.

*I added also suitable frame and canvas to give more depth and write notes on the picture .

Her Pyramid 

Her pyramid is thought to be her tomb.The queen's pyramids were often constructed to the south of the king's pyramid . The scientists thought that construction of her pyramid was in year 15 of the reign of Khufu, It had a small mortuary temple and a boat pit associated with it,but no boat was found in the rock cut boat pit .The mortuary temple was decorated with scenes.
The title of Queen was preserved in a fragment now in the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.

HOW TO DESIGN ?


Open the picture on photo-shop .

• convert the background layer to normal layer [ right click the layer and choose layer from background].
• Increase the size oh the picture [Image menu -Image Size].
• Apply some sharpness to the picture [ Filter menu -Sharpen -Sharpen ].
•  Go to image menu to add canvas to the picture .Add 1 cm width and height and put the anchor to the middle.Repeat this step again ,but put the anchor this time to the top middle and add 2 cm to the height only .
• You will notice that you add a transparent canvas to the picture ,so add new layer under the background layer and draw a rectangle use the Rectangle Tool with the color you like and cover the full canvas size.
•  Now go to the Adjustment P and select the Brightness and Contrast  and adjust it.
• Use the Text Tool to write the information you like. 
• Add the frame with the Custom Shape Tool ,choose your color and style you like .
• If you like you can add layer style to the picture ,and text layers .
• Save your work.
