Oil Painting Photo Effects in Photoshop in easy way (photoshop lesson)

Did you think about going to someone to draw you with brush and oil?
It is not easy to stay for a long time in front of him with no movement.

Sometimes we want to see what will be the look of our photos in oil paint.

So why not trying to do it with Photoshop by yourself?
Try to give your photos oil paint nice &  new look.

That is how to do it.

  1. open the image file, which you want to convert into an oil painting. Click Ctrl+ A to select that image and then press Ctrl+ C to copy it.
  2. Create a new layer in your document and press Ctrl+ V to paste the image. Now go to Edit > Free transform tool and resize the image according to your need using this tool.
  3. Next, adjust the colors of our image to make it brighter. For this, go to Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation and use the given settings.
  4. Then, go to Image > Adjustments > Brightness/Contrast and use the following values.
  5. We’ve adjusted our image so far, now we’ll move ahead to apply oil painting effect on it using various filters in Photoshop.
  6. Now, duplicate image by going to Layer > Duplicate layer. We’ll work on this duplicated image now. Go to Filter > Artistic > Plastic wrap and use the given settings but do not click ‘Ok’ as we are going to apply few more filters.
  7. Click on the ‘new effect layer’ icon, which is present at the bottom of this palette. Then click on ‘paint daubs’ option and use the following settings.
  8. Once again click on ‘new effect layer’ icon. Then click on ‘texture folder’ and select ‘texturizer’. Use the given settings for texturizer.
  9. Now press the ‘new effect layer’ icon and click on the ‘distort folder’. Select ‘glass’ from the menu and use the displayed values. You can press ‘Ok’ now.
  10. Next we’ll give it emboss appearance. Click on the original image layer and duplicate it. Place this ‘copy layer’ above the ‘oil painting layer’.
  11. Now go to Image > Adjustments > Black and White and use the default settings here.
  12. Lastly, go to Filter > Stylize > Emboss and use the given values.
  13. Change the blending mode of this layer to ‘vivid light’.

That’s all
Thanks
